Eurocham Helps Vietnam Associations Build Capacity
This was part of the “Capacity Building on Trade Policy for Vietnamese Business Associations” program aiming to help Vietnamese business associations increase their capacities to provide efficient assistance to their members on EU-related trade issues. As many as 150 business associations and their member enterprises attended the event.
EuroCham is currently carrying out a “training needs assessment” among selected Vietnamese business associations to design a specified curriculum that fits their actual needs. Eight Vietnamese business associations have been selected as official partners of EuroCham including the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association (LEFASO), the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Ho Chi Minh Branch, the Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprise Association (HASMEA), the Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft and Wood Association (HAWA), the Ho Chi Minh City Young Business People Association (YBA) and the Can Tho Business Association (CBA). Once this programme is completed, EuroCham will conduct a series of high-level seminars for these business associations as the main component of the capacity building programme.
